Kobe and Me.

“If you’re afraid to fail, then you’re probably going to fail.”  - Kobe Bean Bryant. When I first saw that quote, I first thought, "Wow, what a Kobe-thing to say." But ultimately it is so true. Besides Kobe Bryant being one of my idols, as a kid and an adult on the court, he has played an incredible role for me in looking back on his entire life. Kobe was a unique individual and I believe God specifically cut him from a different cloth. He was a killer on the court and honestly did not give a damn about any challenge or obstacle in his way. He was an individual who faced his challenges head-on, and it didn't matter if he failed because he would always give 110% effort. What I didn't understand growing up was that your mind is probably the most effective and dangerous weapon you could hold in your arsenal. As cliché as it can be, the saying is, "if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything." Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that there won't be a failure, because life wouldn't be great without it! “I have self-doubt. I have insecurity. I have fear of failure. We all have self-doubt. You don’t deny it, but you also don’t capitulate to it. You embrace it.”  - Also Kobe. My advice to all is to: attack each day like Kobe. Regardless of the obstacle, fear, challenge, anxiety, etc., embrace it. And just don't give a damn.
