Beneficial Pain empowers humans to redirect their mindset around pain. We built our foundation upon sharing narratives and utilizing our resources to support those who not only redefine pain but also embrace “failure.”
In 2019, nine high school graduates discussed the concept of 'Beneficial Pain.' The concept became a reality when William Wingo was diagnosed with testicular cancer. From then on, Beneficial Pain shared his story of making his cancer beneficial, and we shared it with anyone who would listen.
Since then, we have grown into one of the most potent and innovative not-for-profits in the city of Baltimore. We have awarded over $25,000 in college scholarships, established programs that address homelessness and food insecurity in Baltimore, and served as a platform for others to share their story of making their pain beneficial.
Our Motto - Pain is Inevitable, Make it Beneficial.
