William Wingo

​Chief Executive Officer
William Wingo is a resident of Baltimore City, Maryland and a recent graduate of Stonehill College in Easton, MA. At Stonehill, he studied Marketing and was a starter on the Varsity Football team. William was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in 2019, his final semester of college. Throughout his battle with cancer William highlights how the message of Beneficial Pain helped him persevere in times he was at his lowest. He believes the mission of Beneficial Pain can be a source of light for individuals facing any type of adversity. He hopes Beneficial Pain will represent a community where people share and embrace their pain but also use it to fuel their future success. ​

​Devin Harvin

Chief Operating Officer
Devin Harvin is a resident of Baltimore, Maryland and rising 2L at the Francis King Carey School of Law at The University of Maryland. An alum of Boston University, Devin focused his studies on history, political science, and African American studies. While at Boston University, Devin coordinated multiple community-building opportunities, serving as President of the student government, interning for the city of Boston and Broad Street Ministry. Devin is a believer in communities, and in each endeavor brings a desire to create meaningful relationships. 


Thomas Batson
Special Advisor to the President

Tom Batson is a recent graduate of Boston University, holding degrees in both English and Piano Performance. While at BU, Tom worked as a Marsh Chapel Associate, curating original programming and providing administrative support for chapel initiatives. Tom also served as the Chief of Staff of the Boston University Student Government, working with President Devin Harvin on projects including BU’s inaugural Spring Concert. Originally a California native, Tom now resides in Philadelphia and looks to begin a career in nonprofit management. Tom is inspired by the mission of Beneficial Pain and looks forward to creating partnerships within the Baltimore community.


Alexandra Parado
Creative Director

Alexandra Parado is a student at Johns Hopkins University pursuing a master’s in organizational leadership. She resides in New Jersey and serves as an AmeriCorps member for a nonprofit in Trenton called, Arm in Arm. Alexandra is also a consultant for Butterfly Political Action Committee (PAC), a new organization that addresses hunger and poverty. The aim of her personal and professional life is to engage in the empowerment of underrepresented and vulnerable communities. Her experience working with non-profits has given her a deep appreciation of how nonprofits seek to improve lives—which she believes starts in your community. 


Bejeana Breneville
Director of Marketing

Bejeana Breneville is the Associate Director of Marketing at Beneficial Pain. She’s a Haitian-American raised in Massachusetts and currently resides in Boston. She graduated from Boston University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising with an African-American Studies Minor.  She currently works in Real Estate. She is passionate about Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity initiatives and has been involved in organizations from undergrad to now. She is excited to join the Beneficial Pain team and be apart of creating a lasting impact on the community of Baltimore and beyond.


Armoni Duckett-Mooney
Director of Fashion

Armoni is an IT Specialist for the U.S. Census Bureau. She is a graduate of Stevenson University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems, Technology Management and pursuing her masters in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics. Armoni is family oriented and helpful as she loves helping people and animals.  She’s a believer in communities and a relationship builder; always trying to find a way to help others. Armoni is inspired by learning new things and coming up with creative ideas to improve something or making something new.  


Aliya Reveley
Director of Special Projects

Aliya Reveley was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended the University of Arizona, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. There, she actively promoted mental health awareness and educated populations on body positivity and eating disorders. She also led an after-school program catering to the growth and development of 5th and 6th-grade girls. Aliya now focuses her interest on social impact work in Baltimore. To her, Beneficial Pain is about allowing yourself to embrace your authentic self, the good and the bad. Presently, Aliya is studying medicine with the expectation of dedicating her life to surgery.


Jerel Archer
Director of People
​

Jerel Archer serves as the Director of People of Beneficial Pain. Jerel is an aspiring, former collegiate student-athlete looking to obtain a career-oriented position that would encourage professional growth and development in the sports industry. Jerel is from Baltimore, Maryland and received his diploma from The Boys' Latin School of Maryland in 2015. He was then blessed with an athletic and academic scholarship to Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts for the next four years. He majored in Business Management and minored in Sport Management. Jerel was a four-year letterwinner on the Skyhawks football team. In 2019, Jerel was a member of the National Football Foundation's New Hampshire Society. Jerel is now a Graduate-Assistant at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. He works in the athletic department with the Student-Athletes Services team. Jerel emphasizes the team effort and the relentlessness of will that BP portrays in peoples' everyday lives. 


Hafzat Akanni
Director of Design

Hafzat Akanni is a recent graduate of Boston University where she studied International Relations and African American Studies. She hails from Lagos, Nigeria; but, spent most of her life living in Dublin, Ireland. During her undergraduate career, Hafzat was heavily involved in student life and engaged in extracurricular activities through organizations such as the Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Boston University Student Government. She is passionate about creating a more just and equitable future and is a deep believer in using the law and community engagement as a tool for societal empowerment. Hafzat is very excited to bring her talents to the BP team. Please feel free to direct all suggestions on the Beneficial Pain website design or layout to Hafzat. 


Bria Cooper
​Director of Scholarships
​

Bria Cooper is a Maryland local currently working as a math teacher at Baltimore County's Overlea High School. She attended Loyola University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching. As a second year college student, Bria began tutoring for Bridges Baltimore, a program that helps students succeed academically from elementary school through high school and college. The time she spent working with the students inspired her to focus on a career in education. She is determined to continue to be the voice and light that children need especially in the current climate. One element of Bria's teaching philosophy is empowerment, an important aspect of Beneficial Pain. She is thrilled to extend and transfer this passion for uplifting the youth to the community as a whole.

Pain is inevitable, make it beneficial.
